Brian,I purchased your “cheat sheet” about a week ago and used it on a client that I had previously gotten #1 rankings for that had slipped in rankings with the recent Google Places changes. Your Google Places Cheat sheet helped me already to get them back on top.. what an ego trip for me ![]() |

The entire course is completely updated to reflect all of the November 2010 changes that Google introduced to it’s Google Places product. Additionally, I’ve updated the course again in January, February, and March of 2011 to attempt to stay on top of the more recent changes.
Almost every week there is a new “hot” course that promises to teach you a different strategy – either technical or sales, to help you attack a new niche, rank a site, find customers, make lots of money. Unfortunately most of these courses are nothing more than glorified eBooks that tell a grand story, but fail to back it up with real-world experience. Many of the courses targeting the “offline” consultant (or local SEO consultant as I prefer to be called ) – focus on how to sell new clients or how to position this add-on service.
Do your current Google Places courses leave you wanting more?
Do you ever just want to brainstorm with a real-world SEO expert who works every day with paying clients?
With Google changing their algorithms every few months, many courses are rendered obsolete very quickly.
My 2011 Expert Guide: Google Places Cheat Sheet is completely up-to-date as of March 2011.
I have been a local SEO consultant part-time back to 1996 and full-time since 2006. In that time, I’ve studied, learned and personally tried virtually every SEO method or strategy to deliver results for my clients.
When Google introduced Google Places in 2009 – I immediately jumped onboard to learn and studying this new local marketing search tool. After a long and somewhat difficult struggle – I’ve mastered the Google Places formula and have been able consistently dominate Google Places listings. In fact, since the November 2010 changes, my results have only gotten better!!!
I believe I’m the first “expert” offline marketer who practices Google Places day in and day out to offer a course. I’m not a guru, or anything of the sort. I’m a regular guy who makes a killing working with regular businesses promoting them through Google Places, organic SEO, Facebook, and YouTube.
Google Places are commonly called the “local maps” – which is where relevant local businesses are depicted with a push-pin on a local city map and a letter, ranging from A to G. A spot on this map is pure gold.
In case you haven’t heard, the formula for Google Places local search results changed dramatically in late November 2010.
Almost all of my clients results have now improved – they are becoming more dominant than ever before. The small percentage of clients who dropped with this change met one key criteria – they didn’t have a website, or worse, they had a poor website with bad SEO.
You may not know me. I’ve been a real world SEO consultant and ecommerce guy since the mid 1990’s.
I started doing SEO when all you needed was a few Meta Tags at the top of your HTML page to grab a top spot in Yahoo, Lycos or Excite! I’ve worked in large corporate software companies, for Fortune 100 companies, and thanks to one too many lay-offs – I got smart and started my own company.
Unlike many people online with slicks systems and courses – I have no high end polished SEO courses to offer. I’m not a coach. I’m not a mentor. Heck – truthfully, I’m not even a good writer! What I do very well is search engine optimization, with a focus on the local market.
Between my corporate software marketing background, all of the hard-knocks I’ve taken dealing with 200+ SEO clients over the last decade, and my constant studying/learning/research I’ve got a great list of items that must be done, and those that you have to avoid like the plague!
There is no silver bullet for Google Places – just like the normal Google algorithm no one truly knows all of the secrets. All you can do is continually adapt and hone your skills to go after top 1-box, 3-box or 7-box spots for your clients, and now the more recent merged listings.
I’m a pretty nice guy – I try to help everyone I come into contact. I think one of the best ways to improve my own skills is through helping and working with others. I offer up what I know, and try to learn something new from person I meet. However, so many people (over 100 since Thanksgiving!) have asked me to share my specific do’s / don’ts around Google Places, that I decided to share my constantly evolving guide that my team at Peachtree SEO and myself use daily. Most of you will know and use some of what I do. Some of you will use most of what I do.
But I doubt that very many local SEO / marketers incorporate all of the same methods/strategies in the ways that I use them as I rank my clients websites.
Here’s what I cover in this WSO –a detailed, factual, no fluff cheat sheet encompassing 19 full pages for Google Places work to deliver a highly optimized listing:
Perhaps most important, I share the fundamental principal you must always keep in mind when working on local business clients inside of Google Places. If you keep this one point in mind, and let it guide you in everything you do – you will succeed with Google Places.
Anyone who buys this will get my periodic updates – absolutely free. I update it for my own team, and have no problem keeping it very relevant.
You can read through my Cheat Sheet in 45 minutes. And then….you’ll print it out and use it while you do real work. I guarantee it.
Local Internet Consulting for real-world Brick and Mortar businesses is growing into a billion dollar industry, and to truly win at this business, you have to be able to deliver. I may not be able to write a truly persuasive sales letter….but my Google Places Cheat Sheet is hands-down the best document/course/white paper on ranking Google Places sites you will find. If you don’t agree, let me know and I will give you a full refund.
For a very small price, you can get my information packed guide to how I run my own Google Places practice at Peachtree SEO.
That’s right, for just $33.00, you can have my cookbook of what works and doesn’t work for me.
This “Google Places Cheat Sheet” guide covers my real world experiences in what is working for me, and what you have to avoid.
This is exactly what I do on a daily basis. This is no hyped up Guru launch, no B.S. – this is the real deal, a system that I use every day to make thousands of dollars every month.
Thank you,
Brian Anderson
